If you are ordering from Switzerland, you will see prices in CHF in the shop and at checkout. No European VAT is charged on deliveries to Switzerland. Swiss import tax (8.1% VAT) is levied upon import and is not included in the order total.

Delivery to Switzerland

Delivery method: FedEx home delivery with tracking.
Delivery charges: CHF 18.99 per order, regardless of the number of bottles. Ordering multiple perfumes in a single order therefore reduces the delivery cost per bottle.
Customs duties: Since 1 January 2024, Switzerland no longer levies customs duties on industrial products such as perfume. Only import tax is payable.

Import tax: when do you have to pay?

Import tax is calculated on the value of the goods, including delivery charges. If the tax amounts to CHF 5 or less, it is not levied. At a rate of 8.1%, this applies to shipments valued at up to approximately CHF 61 (goods plus delivery).

Example 1: a perfume for CHF 39.99 plus CHF 18.99 postage = CHF 58.98. The tax would be around CHF 4.78 and is generally not levied.
Example 2: two perfumes totalling CHF 99.98 plus CHF 18.99 postage = CHF 118.97. The import tax amounts to around CHF 9.65; a FedEx handling fee may also apply. You pay both upon delivery.

The assessment by the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG) and the FedEx fee schedule always take precedence.
